The old version of the Balance Gold Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars was great. Now there is a “new” and “improved” version which is sweeter, has more sugar, more carbs and more sodium. How is this an improvement? Plus this new formula tastes horrible. Nothing like chocolate or peanut butter. Why did Balance have to go and ruin a good thing? Bring back the old version!

If you could get a sugar free Snickers Bar_that’s what this tastes like. I keep them refrigerated and eat them chilled. If you have them delivered when it’s hot outside-they do melt to the packaging-so be aware of hot weather when ordering. Also–only a good deal if the S/H is free_otherwise too expensive. But with the free S/H–it’s a good deal.

I’ve enjoyed these bars for several years and was delighted to see Amazon had them, as they’ve become hard to come by. Despite some concerns from previous reviews regarding expiration dates and poor condition on delivery, I hoped that the problems were solved. If my order is any indication, they are – fast delivery, good condition, the usual good taste.

Our family is trying to stay “in the zone” – keeping our fat, protein and carbs balanced – both for diabetes prevention and weight loss. These bars taste great and have the right ration of fat to protein to carbs. Several of my friends eat them – in fact, this one bar is the ONLY bar most of us truly LIKE.
The review written before this review is NOT for Carmel Nut Blast – it is for Chocolate Peanut Butter, so it does not apply to this product.

Don’t ship well, tops were melted and replaced by Amazon twice all the same.
But them is Sam’s or Costco……………….
